Welcome to my workshop! I am Giovanni Andreas Fautus, also known as Giovanni of Gwyntarian, and I am the SCA persona for Jonathan Fouts. If you are not familiar with SCA, please visit www.sca.org.

Giovanni is a late-period merchant working crowds between Italy and Austria, focusing on any trade that makes a deal worthwhile. From arms to food, everything is negotiable. Whether you need heavy weapons of war to wipe out a pesky squatter, or some nice tea to have with that neighbor you happen to like who just happens to be the up and coming king….either way, something can be arranged.

Many people have a rather divided opinion of Giovanni. Some may call him a brown nosing pain-in-the-ass, while others might refer to him as a patron saint for those in need. Either way, Giovanni is going to follow his own path, particularly if it leads to exciting and new places of adventure, profit and fame.

Of late, Giovanni has been seen cavorting with a rather rough group known as the Great Dark Horde. Association with the Horde makes sense with Giovanni, because he does deal with all types and never passes on a good time; however, this behavior has lead to gossip and some confusing ideas that he may be one of them. Such a concept is laughable, since anyone who knows even a little about Giovanni would know that he is a die-hard loyal servant of the crowns.  On the other hand, Giovanni seems rather taken by a certain Horde Goddess known as Aurore de Fountain, who is highly coveted and protected by her Horde Brothers.

Regarding the items displayed on this site — all are pieces that were made by Giovanni, and may be available for sale or trade if someone is willing to make an offer that is reasonable. Everything is negotiable.
